Host Management¶
Host management is a foundational capability of OpsAnt. Only onboarded hosts can execute scripts, transfer files, and collect monitoring data.
Onboarding Methods¶
OpsAnt supports three onboarding methods:
| Method | Execution Engine | Features |
|---|---|---|
| SSH | Ansible | No Agent installation required, SSH credentials needed |
| Agent | SaltStack | Requires salt-minion installation |
| OpsMini | OpsMini Server | Install OpsMini Agent, supports auto-discovery and heartbeat |
Onboarding Process (OpsMini as example)¶
- Go to "Resource Management - Host Management", click "Onboard Host"
- Select "OpsMini" method, obtain the install command and Token
- Execute the install command on the target host to install OpsMini Agent
- After the Agent reports, the host appears in the "Pending Onboarding" list
- Click "Approve Onboarding", the host enters the "Onboarded" list
Host Management Page¶
- Two tabs: Onboarded / Pending Onboarding
- Host list displays: name, unique identifier, IP, OS, CPU / memory usage, management method, status
- Onboarded hosts support: open panel (OpsMini hosts), view details, edit, remove onboarding
- Pending onboarding hosts support: approve onboarding, delete
Host Details¶
Onboarded hosts can view details (multiple tabs):
- Basic information, network, disk, user, process, etc.
- Depends on the collection capability of the onboarding method (SaltStack uses grains, OpsMini uses panel API)
Onboarding Status Description¶
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Onboarded | Normally onboarded |
| Pending Onboarding | OpsMini Agent has reported, awaiting administrator approval |
| Token Validation Failed | Agent Token does not match the platform, check configuration |
Tips¶
- Script execution, file transfer, and scheduled tasks can only select onboarded hosts
- Host unique identifier and IP both support one-click copy
